There is no secret in finding the perfect accessories for your wedding day. You have to keep so many things in mind: the weather, dress style, YOUR style, the season. The list goes on. My advice to brides is to stay true to yourself, but don’t fight the other factors. Just like a ball gown is not meant for a beach wedding, a sparkling tiara may not be meant for a rustic wedding. Unless of course, it’s made of flowers! The wonderful thing about today’s bride, is anything goes. Flower crowns have recently become popular, just as the farm/rustic wedding has. It’s a great way to feel more organic and natural with your wedding.

That doesn’t mean the city bride won’t hesitate to adorn her hair with lots of sparkle. Who doesn’t love a little sparkle, right? You can choose from hair brooches, headbands, pins, picks and tiaras. There is nothing wrong with feeling like a princess for a day, even if you aren’t the Duchess of Cambridge.  After all your hard work in planning for this day, I’d say you deserve it. Top it off with a beautiful veil and you are set. I have to admit, my veil was my favorite part of my wedding wardrobe…I didn’t take it off until it was time to clean up! We can’t forget about the everstylish birdcage veil. It’s become timeless. If you’re a Pittsburgh bride, one of my favorite places to send brides is Clarissa’s Boutique in the South Side. They have everything and anything for bridal accessories…including custom made pieces and jewelry. Check them out today!

With all these choices, there is also something else to keep in mind….your hairstyle. Hairstyles and accessories go hand in hand. My advice is to pick your hairstyle first, then go from there. Remember, sometimes less is more. Again, allow your hairstyle to compliment your dress as much as your flowers will. Looking natural is all the wild right now. Even if you don’t choose a natural makeup look, a simple hairstyle will allow everything else to stand out. See what Martha Stewart Weddings has to say about it!

What do you think? What’s your favorite wedding hairstyle? There is no wrong answer.
Love…k
